Exhibition of “Pahonia” group

On April 4th 2007, In Minsk's palace of culture of Belarusian Artists Union an exhibition of the group of artists “Pahonia” is being held with great success.

The exhibition is symbolically called “Razam” (Together). It means together with those who wasn’t indifferent to the fortune of their own country, who believed in its future, in reviving its national consciousness. Jazep Drazdovich, Petr Sergievich, Mihail Seuruk, Lavon Barazna, Jaugen Kulik are among the famous participants.

The exhibitions of the group of artists “Pahonia” are traditionally dedicated to the Liberty Day (March, 25) and after several years of break eventually a cultural event was organized in the spring of 2007. The exhibition starts with the outstanding works “Zvon Svabody”,”Chernobyl Zvon” and “Zvon Kurapacki”.

The visitors will see satiric works of Alaksei Marachkin, symbolic Five Lists of Ales Pushkin, religious paintings of Genadz Drazdou, Ales Shaternik works and others.

It’s hard to describe the exhibition, the potential of the artists and all kinds of art in a small review. The exhibition is interesting and various. You’ll see works of young sculptors Valancin Borzdy, Viktor Kapach, Kanstancin Selihanou and Genik Loika. One of the most interesting parts of the exhibition consists of the graphic portraits of members of the first government of Belarusian National Republic and two paintings of a young artist Julia Shaternik from New-Jersey, USA.

The natural response after the exhibition is that the country still lives, long live Belarus!
